[RFE] Automatically introspect and provide nodes to simplify workflow

Description

It would be great if after registering nodes, they kicked off an automatic introspection process and then were provided automatically. This would avoid a lot of confusion with the current workflow. If a user wants to put a node into a maintenance state, they can do that, but it's an edge case and should be something the user needs to act on.

1) Register Nodes (we could consider allowing the user to choose whether or not to automatically introspect/provide):

2) Introspection happens automatically:
