The GUI never shows that introspection finished

When you start introspection from the GUI - the spinners on that page will spin forever even after introspection finished, and even if you use the "refresh results" feature on that page. Only F5 stops the spinners.

I expect this will only happen if the Mistral workflow has failed. Can you provide more information? Mistral logs, or errors from the logs would be useful.

At the moment it is hard to know if this is a GUI bug or wokflow bug.

I too had ran in to this before. Seems this happens when at least one node fails introspection, specifically when the IPMI address cannot be reached. When the page is refreshed, the UI will show no introspection data on the node. There is no UI indication that introspection did not complete successfully. I think this is specific to the UI, since command-line introspection will eventually time out and fail if an IPMI address cannot be reached.

I'm not able to reproduce this right now but if I have the bandwidth to do more tests soon I'll see if I can recreate it and get more logs.

Not a great user experience since one needs to reload the page, so it would be nice to fix it soon if we can pin down the cause.
