Bug Description

With the introduction of 'set -o pipefail' Debian image builds fail because there is no vmlinuz*generic kernel and DIB exits immediately.

+++ head -1
+++ ls -1rv '/tmp/image.B0ts4HfN/mnt/boot/vmlinuz*generic'
ls: cannot access /tmp/image.B0ts4HfN/mnt/boot/vmlinuz*generic: No such file or directory
++ basename
basename: missing operand
Try 'basename --help' for more information.
