Bug Description

When trying to use Touchpad-Indicator with an Acer TimelineX 3820tg, nothing happens. The trackpad is always working.

Sorry, I was in a hurry and forgot to mention that I am running Ubuntu 10.10.

I believe that my system is detecting the touchpad as a ps/2 mouse. could this be the issue? If so, any way to workaround that?

Harry I order to solve this bug I need that you run this script in a terminal and send the output.

Put the script in /usr/share/touchpad-indicator/

and run it:

python /usr/share/touchpad_indicator/testing_touchpad_detection.py

Output, similar to this one:

Hello harry,

I'm changing the mouse detection in touchpad-indicator. If you can, run the attached script and copy the output.

Put the script in /usr/share/touchpad-indicator; the output can be very long, so better direct it to a file and attach it.

Regards, Miguel Angel.
