Bug Description

Having reflashed a Nexus 4 to Stable (14.10 r17) I wanted to re-install a paid for app in the Ubuntu Store (Cut the rope). I logged into my Ubuntu one account, the only option in Ubuntu Store I had was buy it again. Which as it turned out just re-installed it but it wasn't obvious if I was re-buying it or just installing it again. Suggest offering an install option for previously purchased apps?

Thanks,

J

Did you log into your Ubuntu One account via System Settings, before going to the Ubuntu Store scope to re-install your apps?

There is no way to know if you have purchased any apps, prior to logging in to your account. If no account exists on the phone, then we must show the buy button, rather than the install button. However, 'buy' will simply require you to log in, and then will immediately result in the app being installed, rather than going through the buy process.

Hi,

Pretty sure, as I wrote previously, I had already logged into my Ubuntu One account and the only option presented to me was to buy. Which to me looked like I would be purchasing the app again but as it turned out it just installed it,

Are you able to reliably recreate this issue, when logged into your account, prior to going to the store scope? If so, can you see if there are any errors logged in /home/phablet/.cache/upstart/scope-registry.log at the exact time when you search for an app which you purchased previously, but which is not currently installed?
