As we've not committed to officially support non-nexus devices, I'm marking this a "Wishlist".

That said, I would be happy to help you debug the issue.

It looks like the ofono code successfully connects to rild ( see the UNSOL_RIL_CONNECTED message ), however there's not much more information offered.

Have you tried this with the final 1.0 release?

A couple of things that could help shed more light on the issue:

1. Run ofonod with debug enabled. To do so, modify the upstart job ( /etc/init/ofono.override ) and add "-d" to the ofonod command line ( note, this can be very verbose ).

2. Run ofonod with RIL tracing enabled. To do so, you need to set the environment variable OFONO_RIL_TRACE=y before starting ofonod. In the upstart job this requires two statements at the start of the job:

env OFONO_RIL_TRACE=y
export OFONO_RIL_TRACE

Note, you can also stop ofono ( as root run "stop ofono ), and then start ofono in the foreground like this:

# OFONO_RIL_TRACE=y ofonod -n -p ril,rilmodem,mbpi,provision

You can use script to capture the output.

Also, please include the version of touch that you use when reproducing the issue, and whether or not the port is "flipped" or not ( ie. does the image boot into Ubuntu and run the Android bits in a lxc container ).

Note, if you decide to run ofonod from the command-line, you need to manually online the modem using ofono-script's 'online-modem' command:

# /usr/share/ofono/scripts/online-modem

Also, the 'list-modems' command will provide some valuable debug information as well.
