Hi!
When you say 'cannot be launched' what specifically does this mean?
Are you using PCManFM to launch it? (the bug you posted)

Are you using the menu to launch it?

I will test on my system to see. However, I do know that imagemagick launches when I click on a picture in the file manager.

Ok I just tested it, and I cannot figure out why display does not want to run.
The menu item has the correct executable line.

This should make it work, but I may simply add a OnlyShowIn= line to prevent the display in the menu. AFAIK clicking on a picture in the filemanager would be a better way to open that program.

Does this sound good to you?

Thanks for reporting this :)

It does not work neither from the LiveCD nor from the installed system.

However, when I open a picture, it does open.

So, I am not too sure whether we should mark this as Fix Committed or leave it as Confirmed.

Hi, the new base OS will have this in a good working state.
I have added OnlyShowIn= to the desktop file, and it does not show in the menus.

Since the program handles mime-types well, the issue with not being able to run it form a menu is easy to fix by removing it.
There is nothing wrong (AFAIK) with the menu, since it tries to execute display (the program name).
If you run display from a terminal it works well, or if you open an image it also works well. This may be an issue with JWM's menu code perhaps? Or something with the way imagemagick installs itself
