Hi,
I do not notice this problem.
I simply run Arandr from the menu, though and it works.

you might try updating to make sure all your packages are up to date.

I notice this problem in VirtualBox with ToriOS installed, please test :)

I tested this on a real computer, and have not noticed this problem.
I ran from both the menu and terminal. The utility opened up just as I had expected.
This may be a bug in the build you are using, I suppose... I will try it on another machine to see what the result is.
