Using Gags on a Cog that isn't there

Whenever Someone uses, for instance, throw on a cog, and during the same round someone chooses to use squirt on that same cog, if the throw kills the cog, the toon that used squirt will use it anyway and basically be using it on nothing since the cog exploded after the throw hit him.
