Giant log files >5GB in /var/log/timeshift/

Bug Description
Since update today, timeshift has generated twice >5GB log files. Seems to be because USB HDD was unplugged for another use. The / partition became completely filled up. Deleted first log file, went away, and another was created. Third one has just started after deleting the second:
