Drop down terminal size shrinks after toggling betwen full screen/drop down

Bug Description

Ubuntu MATE 16.04
Acer Aspire 5750g

Steps to reproduce:
1. Press F12 to pull down terminal, F11 to full screen
2. Press F12 to close terminal
3. Press F12 to bring up terminal again, press F11 to bring terminal back to original size

Expected result:
Terminal successfully returns back to its original size (width of the screen).

Actual result:
Terminal width is smaller than usual.

Current workaround:
Go into terminal preferences and reconfigure the width there

I'm having the same problem. Same steps to reproduce and same outcome. Screenshots look the same, except that I'm having transparency active.

Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS
