Audio Stutters on USB Headset

Great program but the audio stutters really bad on mu USB headset. I am using a Acer 5222 with Ubuntu 11.04 with Unity 2D. I have tried Gnome Basic but still stutters on the audio.

Also tried my internal mic and still stutters quite bad.

Does the Sound Recorder application give you the stuttering? I think we're
fairly similar in how we record.

Sound is nearly a passthrough operation, it's video that i have to massage,
meaning video quality should show problems before sound quality.

Audio is fine using sound recorder and even Audacity as well. RecordMyDesktop works fine as well. I am using the propriety video drivers from Ubuntu. If there is anything I can send you to help let me know.
