Bug Description

SRU RATIONALE:
Lucid is an LTS and where possible (read: minimally invasive) it would make sense to support newer versions of Virtualbox.

SRU TEST CASE:
1. Install virtualbox-3.2 from Oracle repos: http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads
2. Try to use testdrive to open and ISO in virtualbox-3.2, it shouldn't open
3. Install package from -proposed
4. Try to use testdrive to open and ISO in virtualbox-3.2, it should open

-----------------------------------------

Testdrive tries to launch in VirtualBox and apparently it does.

However, this is not the case given that the current VirtualBox version is 3.2, and the supported ones are 3.0 and 3.1.

  * Fix launching fail when attribute m is not set. (LP: #585792)
  * Obtain ISO list from Ubuntu cdimage for UI generation.
    - Cache filtered manifest in $CACHE/isos.
    - testdrive, testdrive.py: Drop hardcoding of the UI's available ISO
list and generate it from cached manifest.
  * Change method to obtain Ubuntu Release Codename. Fixes (LP: #586685)
    - testdrive.py: Obtain release codename from iso cached manifest
instead of launchpad for compatibility issues.
    - debian/control: Drop Depends on python-launchpadlib.
  * Add support for different Ubuntu Flavors.
    - testdriverc: Add variable for default Ubuntu Flavor.
    - testdrive, testdrive.py: Do necessary changes for this to work.
  * doc/testdrive.1: Update manpage for newly added options.
  * Add support for VirtualBox version 3.2. (LP: #589419)

Will this fix be released for Lucid?

(as of 6/15/10 the testdrive is 1.38 in Lucid, which does not work with VirtualBox 3.2)

Here is a debdiff that backports the changes from http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~testdrive/testdrive/trunk/revision/245 to the 1.38 version.

Accepted testdrive into lucid-proposed, the package will build now and be available in a few hours. Please test and give feedback here. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Thank you in advance!

Any testers of the lucid-proposed package? As this has been in -proposed for a long time already, I'll remove the proposed package soon if there is no feedback. Thank you!

I could install the testdrive package without installing quemu (testdrive 1.38 Qubuntu 1.1; virtualbox 3.2 non-free; kubuntu 10.04-64). testdrive opens the iso in virtualbox. I can't open the iso from virtualbox, it works, when I start testdrive. The iso-today does not start right, but that not a problem of testdrive.
Thanks for your work. Sorry for my bad english.
