Bug Description

hello,

The broadcast_all, broadcast_group feature, seem to have default keybindings, but should have none by default.

On my current system (debian 10) for example it seemed to be Alt-A by default.

If users wish to enable a keybinding for this feature, they are able to do so, however having a default keybinding is way too dangerous and I would ask you to consider removing it (setting it to None).

I was just saved from having 'rm -f *' executed across 16 different terminals in various directories on various servers, because of bug #1531043, (that bug saved me because after I had accidentally typed Alt-A, it duplicated all my input twicce instead of once, so my 'rm -f *' command became, in the other terminals, 'rrmm --ff **'

I count myself lucky that I was not burnt by the default keybinding for this feature, (saved by bug 1531043) and would request that you rethink having this feature be so easily enabled by users by accident.

Users who wish to disable the potential for damage by this feature can remove the default keybinding by adding settings such as shown below, into ~/.config/terminator/config

  $> cat ~/.config/terminator/config

  [global_config]
  [keybindings]
    help = None
    broadcast_all = None
    broadcast_group = None

good luck

THIS IS VERY VERY DANGEROUS
Just deleted all my files on a USB disk because of this. Sent delete command for a subfolder in a terminal and it ended sending delete command in another window where current dir was in the USB disk's root folder.
At least there should be a warning when activating such a dangerous feature. Icon is too small to see the change of state.
And shortcut ALT+A is very simple and easy to get it pressed by error, especially when you switch from Mac keyboard to PC keyboard or vice-versa.
This really needs to be fixed.

In fact, even if status here is Won't fix, the change did got merged.
Problem is ubuntu that got stuck at 1.91 and doesn't consume the versions from this new github I think.
