Bug Description

Debian 9 Mate x64
Terminator 1.90+bzr-1705-1

When changing window size, some text (like file list) is lost. Check video: https://youtu.be/1OHcW_LjYuI

It seems that the issue happens when path is long.

You might try to disable "Rewrap on resize" under the Profile preferences.

The problem is that this is a "live" prompt, redrawn by bash every time the window size changes. Also, bash doesn't expect that the terminal rewraps the lines (including its prompt), hence redraws the prompt with the assumption that it wasn't rewrapped. That is, bash instructs the terminal to move the cursor upwards, to jump back to the first line of a prompt that it believes consists of two lines, whereas it's already just one line due to the terminal having rewrapped it.

The cleanest solution I could imagine to this situation is to introduce a mode to bash (readline) where it understands that the terminal rewraps its prompt. I don't know if this request have been brought up with bash developers.

"Rewrap on resizes" doesn't work. It does the same.

All other stuff you said... I pass this. I'm not a dev :).
