Reproduce:
Open a terminator window. Right click and Move to another workspace (for example, workspace 2)
Open a new terminator window. Desktop switch to workspace 2, but open terminator in workspace 1.
Another:
Open a terminator windows.Write something. Open another terminator window, is opened behind the first one.

Pretty sure the second background issue was fixed after rev 1705: http:// bazaar. launchpad. net/~gnome- terminator/ terminator/ gtk3/revision/ 1744
You need to update to fix that. It might also have a bearing on the main issue. I know I can't reproduce, but then I'm on Ubuntu/Unity. Can you get checkout the latest and test it? Just checkout to a temporary folder and run it from there. Be sure to close all terminator instances down first, or you won't be testing the latest. Use gnome-terminal or xterm or something to run the temporary checkout one.
