Bug Description
Remove/rename the ~/.config/
Preference -> Profile -> [un-check] Show titlebar
Split window horizontally.
Split window horizontally.
You see two windows, with one horizontal line in the middle of the screen.
Moving the horizontal line or the outside boarders of the terminal will cause the third terminal window to show.

Have you tried this with a recent checkout of the gtk3 branch? I can't reproduce, and a number of things have gone in that affect the positioning of the splitter.
