Bug Description

Hi,

a system theme has two variants: a bright and a "dark" one.
I'd like to configure terminator so that it uses the colors from the dark version of the system theme.

Is it already possible?
If not, it is a wish. ;)

See related question (bottom right) for more info, but the short story is that I think the dark version of the system theme is something limited to GTK3, and Terminator is currently GTK2.

Changed in terminator:
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
summary: - wish: use colors from dark version of system theme
+ Use colors from dark version of system theme

There's a GTK3 release now, and as far as I can ascertain it respects the global dark theme setting. I tested this using:
GTK_DEBUG=interactive terminator -u
then using the Visual tab to play with the GTK+ Theme and Dark Variant settings.

I'm going to mark this as Fix Committed, unless I hear back that there is still some issue.

Changed in terminator:
status: New → Fix Committed
Changed in terminator:
milestone: none → 2.0
Changed in terminator:
status: Fix Committed → Fix Released
