Bug Description

With a single tab open, horizontal and vertical splits (both via menu and keyboard shortcuts) occur centralised to the current split.

With 2 or more tabs open, the first horizontal or vertical split occurs significantly off centre, but all subsequent splits are central. The ratio for splits seems to be variable, e.g. (I have 2 monitors; 1 is rotated 90 degrees) 44:16 (top to bottom) on typical monitor orientation and 101:19 on rotated 90 monitor for horizontal split; and 148:56 and 81:48 (rotated) for vertical split.

Terminator version reports as 0.97 - I didn't ever see this before updating to this version.
Running on Fedora 17, installed via yum.

Thanks for confirming Chris.

FWIW, the same happens on Debian unstable; that's expected as the bug is upstream.

I incedently managed to reproduce this on 13.04 0.96-2fakesync1.

Normally I start terminator with window_state = maximise, and all is well.
I recently changed that to window_state = normal.

Now, when I manually maximise the window (without splits so far), and then make a split, the split happens on a 65/35 scale.
If I did the split without maximising the window, the scal is 50/50, and remains that way if I maximise it at that point.

HTH?

Follow up to my previous comment.

Playing with window_state didn't always reproduce this. Not sure if I did something wrong.

On terminator 0.96 I experience the issue now, when setting handle_size = 0

I'm attaching my full config file.

HTH,

In my 'always show tabbar' branch I have a fix for this issue, but should also apply without the 'always show tabbar' work.

Is the fix released for this bug? Or do you suggest us to downgrade to some older version? This bug is pretty irritating as we code.
