Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not the developer/maintainer of this project :) It's Stephen whose opinion should really matter. I'm not even using Terminator myself, and I can't promise I'll have time to review your patches.

Stephen pointed out that I should have also used bzr, so probably the best is if you can place your own code changes to a bzr branch. (Although I, for one, would be quite reluctant to learn yet another version control system.) Again, don't know, Stephen's opinion should matter the most.

As long as it's just about porting to Gtk+3 and eliminating the current regressions, I believe it's best to keep everything here in this ticket. Maybe if you fix a nontrivial bug that's also present in the Gtk+2 version and doesn't interfere with the rest of your work, or implement a brand new feature, then that might deserve its own ticket.
