New messages missing after clicking on them in the message indicator

Bug Description
I get snap notifications and also see new messages in the messaging indicator. However I don't see the when opening telegram.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Receive new message while phone is locked.
2. Unlock phone and swipe down message indicator
3. Press on the monochrome telegram icon next to the new message to open it in the app
What happens:
The old messages previously sent by the sender are visible. But the new messages which were just received are not visible.
I am not entirely sure if the bug is reproducible when telegram app is open/closed while the phone is locked.
This bug looks very similar to bug 1518300

I have same issue. But the different to bug 1518300 is that I don't change or switch off wifi. It happens also staying in same network, sometimes I recognized missing updates during a open Telegram session. After restart Telegram missing messages appears and it works for a while.
I use a BQ4.5 with OTA9 stable version
The decribed issue appears after installing OTA9
If you need further information like logs or something please tell me.
