Content picker doesn't close after saving/ sharing

Bug Description
When sharing something via Save/ Share (bug 1522807 about the weird UX with that) whatever app was picked to will get stuck.
For example, pick gallery, the picture will be saved, gallery will just stay there and do nothing. Unless I manually switch back to Telegram, and exit the picture view to get back to the chat it came from.
Same thing happens with uDropCabin as another example. Even more confusingly it has a "Back" button that doesn't get me back to Telegram but higher up within uDropCabin.

Opened Telegram -> Chat -> Photo preview
Touched 'Save'
Chose Gallery
Result:
The photo from Telegram's chat appeared in the Gallery (which stayed responsive).
There's no other way to go back than switch back to Telegram (which I did) which still shows the photo preview, and is responsive.
I've tried this twice.

I don't have uDropCabin, but the 'Back' button seems like a feature/bug of uDropCabin and I have no control over that, wouldn't you agree?
