Bug Description

Action Taken:
Launch Telegram and obtain list of active chats

Observed Result:
List contains a "phantom" (orphaned?)chat. There is no name or contact associated with this chat, no chat history, and chat cannot be deleted (removed). If the chat is opened, the "Type message" box appears, and accepts input, but the text entered does not appear in the chat.
- see attached screenshot

Expected Result:
Chat list should display only active (and real) chats.
Any chat in list should be removable.

Environment information
Telegram for Ubuntu (Beta) v 2.0.4.0 (note: This was upgraded from v1)

I have observed that if one tries to add a new contact manually, i.e. not from the Address Book, then Telegram will force you to re-initiate your account. This is undesirable behaviour (see bug here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/telegram-app/+bug/1521746 ) but doing so clears the phantom chats from chat list.

Just to explain the reason - the bug Randall pointed at forces a sign out.

Effectively, a workaround for this one is to open settings, press Log out, and sign back in. Do note your secret chats are lost forever (!!!) as signing out wipes the cache. This made me realize just now how critical the other bug is (re: adding a user manually).

In addition to this phantom chat I also get immutable secret chats as described below:

Action Taken:
-Start a secret chat
-Logout from telegram
-Login to telegram
-Attempt to delete secret chats

Observed Result:
-Secret chats remain after logout and re-login, except that they do not accept messages, AND they cannot be deleted from the list of chats.

Expected Result:
Any chat in list should be removable.
