Bug Description

Just installed the new 2.0.4 (0) Telegram for Ubuntu on my BQ 4.5 (ubuntu 15.04 r26), the secret chat messes with the updating of the app 'home screen':
- not all new messages are notified
- read messages do not always have a double tick
- some read messages are notified as unread
and, most importantly:
- secret chat are not correctly placed in chronological order on the chat list, they seem to randomly bounce back and forth
- also, self destruct of messages doesn't work: tried with an Android interlocutor and on my phone no message disappears, on his only his messages go away.

Hi,

Can you please answer the following question is it's most important:
- Have you lost any secret chat data (messages, photos, videos or document attachments) after the upgrade to v2?

The messages that have been upgraded may not function fully properly (like the double tick for read).
Do the issues you mentioned affect the new messages as well? Please let's try to break it up.

- not all new messages are notified
What do you mean exactly here? Do you get messages, but they don't "show" on the app's master page? When you open the chat, are the messages in?

- read messages do not always have a double tick
Does this affect new messages as well?

- some read messages are notified as unread
Are these messages from the previous version of the app, or newly received? When you open and leave the conversation, do they still show as unread?

- secret chat are not correctly placed in chronological order on the chat list, they seem to randomly bounce back and forth
The chats would go up to the top of the list when you receive new messages. You actually see some chats go *down* the list randomly?

Yes, self destruct is not yet in this release. It's a small regression we made, hoping the rest of the fixes where worth that step back :(

Thank you a lot for your feedback. Secret chats were the hardest to get right for the upgrade path, and we would like to resolve any issues there may be.

I can confirm that secret chats in v2 become "disconnected", i.e. the parties both think that they are in a secret chat that is active, yet neither is receiving messages. This was also present in v1.

I can confirm it too. In some cases I ever receive the notification but not the message (also on left side launcher and on the app's icon the number of unread messages is depicted)
