Pressing 'x' when making annotation note does not remove note

Bug Description
When creating an annotation note and you press the 'x' it does not remove the note but leaves you with an empty box. However, if you press cancel instead it removes the empty box.
The 'x' should either be removed or have the same functionality as the cancel button.

I would suggest that is has the same functionality as Cancel.
