Bug Description
I get a black screen, which I can't escape from.
I had dim screen selected but when the break came my screen went black and I couldn't recover - so I went to lunch and when I came back: still black. Turning off the desktop and then restarting and uninstalling takeabreak seemed like the solution until 40minutes later a little notification came up saying break soon and then black screen again - again I couldn't recover, so i've reinstalled and hopefully someone tells me how to purge my system of this virus/app.

I have the same problem. Take a Break starts up correctly, runs for the work period plus about a minute, then does a 180 on the screen but never returns from the break. Same deal on Dim Screen.
It's amazing how quickly one can adapt to a reversed screen and mouse!
Running Linux Mint 19.2 and installed via Sudo.
I don't understand your reply to "How to resume work before break ends?". I don't see any counter. All I every see is the settings menu.
