Bug Description

First: Thank you for a great program that is really helpful!

Some times I log in to my PC after having been gone for a while and Take a break kicks in immediately, or after a very short time. That is quite annoying and makes me just want to turn the whole thing off.

The timer should reset after the user doesn't touch any input device for a period of time, for example five minutes.

Thanks!

Hi forteller,

Thanks for the report! What you describe is what the "smart resume" is meant for. Do you use that in your settings? If you do and it still does what you describe, it is a bug. If not, the bug is a missing manual :) Please let me know!

Hi, Jacob. Thank you for your fast reply, and sorry for my late.

I'm just a little perplexed here, because I just can't remember seeing and selecting that option in the preferences, but still the box is ticked now. Is it on by default? If so there seems to be a bug with it, because I have had this issue. But after reporting the bug I don't seem to have had the issue any more. So yeah, I'm just confused and not sure about anything any more (what if everything is just a dream and I'm a brain in a vat, then what!?!? :P)

So, yeah, I'll keep an eye out to try to figure out if this is a real bug or not. And till then: "Smart resume" should be on by default. If it's not I'd recommend that you change that. :)

Thanks again, sorry for the hassle.

So I just had two instances of this:

1. I went to make some food. Spent 5-10 min away from PC, I guess. A few minutes after I came back I was prompted to TaB.

2. Watched a 40 min long video on YT, didn't touch anything for I' guessing the last 30 mins of it. At the very end of it, right before the PC was put into sleep mode by Ubuntu because I hadn't touched it in so long, I was prompted to TaB.

And now it happened during a movie I was watching on VLC.

Hi Jacob,

I have a similar problem on Linux Mint. T a B starts automatically, runs for the work period, turns the screen to 180 but never comes back from the 5 minute break.
