Lists created before migrating to Syster's Mailman Setup do not function properly

The lists that were present before moving to Systers Mailman setup are not compatible in some aspects.

This is probably because the attributes dlists_enabled, questions, essay_enabled and fullname_required are all added by Systers and not . So, for example, one is not able to subscribe via the web interface.

I notice there is a script called migrate in bin/. Could it be possible to create a web interface to migrate the lists?

Also if one tries to use an older version list, one is greeted with the Bug Page of Mailman and a ugly stack trace like show below:

It would be more friendly if it just said that this list needs an update or just continue working in normal backward compatible mode.

Hi,

I am interested in working on this bug. I just need to ask one question before proceeding. There is already a migrate_old_lists.py. As I understand, the purpose of this ticket is to make a web interface which would use this file. Please correct me if I am wrong.
