Debug mode does not work for new lists

Bug Description
When switching debug mode to True in mm_cfg.py - there is no logging for new lists in logs/info.
Additionally, it seems that even if set to "False" logging is still happening to logs/info for old lists.
Behavior happened after the merge between the ORM and wishlist branch.

Made changes in DlistUtils.py after close comparision of DistUtils.py in orm_objectoriented branch where the merged code lies and DlistUtils.py in latest commit of wishlist branch.The changes made can be traced by finding '#TODO' in DlistUtils.py of revision 87 in orm_objectoriented branch.Besides this some permission issues were fixed by doing a bin/check_perms.
After doing this the DEBUG_MODE is working fine for both the oldlists and the newlists.
