Bug Description
sysbench 0.5: multi-threaded system evaluation benchmark
Running the test with following options:
Number of threads: 1000
Report intermediate results every 10 second(s)
Random number generator seed is 0 and will be ignored
Initializing worker threads...
FATAL: Worker threads failed to initialize within 30 seconds!

This basically means that worker threads failed to connect to the servers within 30 seconds. Are you running the benchmark over TCP form another machine? This looks like a common issue when the TCP stack is not properly configured for the connection burst created by sysbench on startup.
