Bug Description
synaptic uses gksu to automatically get the required permissions to run as root - however, in kubuntu - this is not installed by default when installing synaptic - which makes the menu entry for synaptic useless - and the command has to be run manually by running kdesu synaptic
Either synaptic should be patched to check for gksu/kdesu and use whichever is installed - or it should be depend on gksu by default!
