Bug Description

It is unpleasant that when installation/upgrading is executed on background, the system becomes unusable for work due latency. To prevent this, the installation should be executed with lower priority (higher nice) by default (or at least there should be option to choose nice of installation process in Synaptic).

No, seriously, this seems to be one thing which would take only very little effort, but would have a great effect.
