Bug Description
It would be nice to have in Synapse some functionality that now built-in in GS. For example a possibility to reload Shell (Alt+F2 + "r" in GS launcher) or launch a looking glass debugger (Alt+ F2 + "lg"). For now we need to switch between launchers if we want different kind of tasks or if we need to "talk" wit the Shell and synapse just don't know about where he is running.

It would be great to have a Gnome-Shell integration indeed. The existing Applications Search in Gnome Shell's Overview is very slow and does barely what all what Synapse does.
Right now I am using Synapse next to Gnome Shell, which is not always convenient. e.g. launching synapse when the Windows overview is on is impossible. It would be great if Synapse could be implemented as an extension to the shell, so it would merge smoothly within the interface (and also aesthetically). From what I've read on making gnome shell extension it wouldn't be much work other than creating the interface and plug in the engine. I was seriously looking into beginning this task myself, but I am illiterate in both Java and Vala :(
Synapse as an extension could access much more things from the shell, like the window list or workspace list, so synapse could also help switching to exsiting applications so easily.
I think synapse on GS would make a very powerful and popular combo.
Cheers.
