Bug Description

Running debian unstable here with synapse version 0.2.8.2-1 when I set the synapse shortcuts for moving around the results to ctrl-n,p,f,b instead of the keyboard arrows I get the following behaviour:

I type something, and press ctrl-n to move down among the results and synapse moves two lines down instead of one (so it moves from 1st->3rd->5th etc).

I've set the gnome shortcuts to emacs mode too in case it makes a difference (it shouldn't because if I have the normal arrow keys in the synapse settings ctrl-n,p,f,b don't do anything).

I'm using version 0.2.10 on fedora 19, gnome 3.8.2, and I started seeing this behavior after upgrading from fedora 18. I use <alt> h, j, k, l for going up and down and between categories.

Any hotkey with a modifier gets interpreted twice for me - the hotkey for moving up or down 5 items moves 10 instead, and moving between categories happens two at a time.

This behavior happens consistently when I start synapse. The bug occasionally fixes itself after binding new hotkeys until synapse is restarted. I haven't found a consistent way to coerce synapse into fixing itself using this method though.
