Bug Description
Running a fresh install of Arch and tried both:
* pacman -S synapse
* yaourt -S synapse
When running synapse, I get the following:
[robert@arch ~]$ synapse
(process:5609): GLib-CRITICAL (recursed) **: init_zone_

As soon as I report this, I find a solution:
timedatectl set-timezone "your/timezone"
