Synapse crashes on keyboard input

Whenever a key is pressed either activation key or after it is activated any key to enter something into the search box synapse crashes with Segmentation Fault.

As a workaround try to use
GTK_IM_MODULE='' synapse

this may be input-method in cause (a bug in synapse)

It actually did work, but it's not working at startup. Last time I simply reinstalled it, but not this time.
