When I start synapse from the command line I get a bunch of (~20 something) these errors:

[WARN 13:13:39.273115] [desktop-file-service:72] X-Cinnamon is not understood

Could this be related to the `OnlyShowIn=X-Cinnamon` option in .desktop files?

I've tried disabling `OnlyShowIn=X-Cinnamon` in one of the .desktop files and it appeared in synapse results.

Same for me.
So, what should the solution be? Remove the line in all of the .desktop files? Or let synapse understand what that line means?

Those occurrences of "OnlyShowIn=X-Cinnamon" should be "OnlyShowIn=Cinnamon"

It doesn't work even using "OnlyShownIn=Cinnamon;" but it does removing the whole line

I've managed to figure out how to patch this in version 0.2.99.2. The file I needed to change was src/core/desktop-file-service.vala, where I added some conditions to handle the x-cinnamon string. I've attached the associated patch. If you're building from source, this should help you get the settings applications working.
