Bug Description
When I activate Synapse (alt+space) in Ubuntu 14.04 the text is black and not white, which makes it hard to read. it appears the launcher is not in focus or something, because when I click on the menu to show the preferences, about, quit options the text becomes OK once again.
Expected: white text (launcher in focus) whenever I activate it.
