Chrome/Chromium crashes entire system

Bug Description
I have found that in both chrome and chromium, if I go to the extensions menu then click on add new extentions, typing anything into the search box crashes Pantheon and reboots the system. This has hapened multiple times and is ONLY true with Elementary, not ubuntu.

Tested on my system, and it did not crash here.
Tested on Chrome 42.0.2311.90 (64-bit) (and Chromium 41.0.2272.76) , running on elementary OS 0.3 (64-bit).
