Switchboard freezes/hangs when I click on the "Power" plug

No idea why. Running freya daily with gtk 3.14.

Just tried it on a live USB stick with all updates intalled, worked flawlessly. Is this till a thing?

Upon further investigation, it seems that Switchboard doesn't indefinitely freeze. It freezes for about 15 seconds or so on my machine (quad core 4ghz i7), and then loads the power plug just fine, and behavior returns to normal.

Very strange indeed.

Can't produce it, must be quiet specific case in definite configurations.

Since three weeks (ca.) I can't reproduce it.

Maybe it's waiting for the brightness timeout on systems with no configurable brightness (like desktops).

Because this is the first message that displays when the plug finally loads:

I have the same problem. I have a desktop computer with a Core I7 and Radeon graphics and it hangs at the power for about 20-25 seconds before entering.
