use switchboard search bar to search through apps

As the plug becomes populated with more and more apps that send notifications, it seems like it would be very useful to be able to search through them.

I have tried already to implement this feature, but it seems that switchboard doesn't support to search in plugs. So either someone would add this feature to switchboard and the search-entry in switchboard's would only be insensitive on not searchable plugs, or we hide switchboard's search-entry in plugs complete so nobody thinks that it is possible to search in plugs.

Right, so I guess this relies on extending switchboard API to make that search box available to the plug while it's open. And by default if the plug doesn't use that piece of API, the search entry would just be insensitive in plugs
