Odd behaviour of VPN list

Bug Description

I have multiple VPNs under the VPN list in Network Settings. If one VPN is active and I accidentally click on another in the list, both disappear from the listing until the Network Settings app is restarted.

In addition, one time I did this to try and work out the logic of it, the VPN configuration of the active conncetion was duplicated in the list and this was persistent.

This is not a critical bug as it has no operational impact, but it is strange behaviour.

I would also love to see a VPN Connections context menu on right click of the network devices wingpanel icon.

It sounds like this bug should be filed agains the Network Settings plug for the Settings app.

I feel that the part regarding the context menu should be filed separetedly as another request. However, I can confirm the strange behaviours in the VPN connections list. Sometimes, a connection just disappears from the list (although it is still there at the top).

Hi Felix,

Agreed on the context menu, I have a few other suggestions I will file as
feature requests along with that one.

On the VPN list, it is very repeatable. I have also observed than when you
disconnect the active connection, it disappears until the applet is
restarted.

Please can you tell me something - I am not a developer so I can't
practically contribute to Elementary, but as I have made it my main OS now
I would like to support the development. I paid to download it, and would
like to contribute financially occasionally. What's the best way to do
this?

Thanks,
