Cancelling WPA2 authentication disables the wired network interface

Bug Description
Image attached is the authentication dialog displayed when I try and connect to a WPA2 enterprise network. If I click cancel (in the hopes that I will just click on the settings button in the plug to further configure), the whole interface gets deactivated, which makes the interface settings button disappear.
Expected: when clicking cancel, the interface should not be disabled.
