Adjust mouse wheel scroll speed

When I am using my notebook's touchpad it's fine but when I am using my mouse's wheel, the scroll speed is so slow...
I can fix it on google chrome by using "Chromium Wheel Smooth Scroller" extension but how can I fix it in the whole system?

Scroll speed is not an available schema at org.gnome.desktop.peripherals.mouse. We can't add a setting that doesn't exist.

OP, it can be done through xinput anyway. But I'd say this issue is more on the hardware/driver calibration side.

A slider adjusting the value could be nice.

"We can't add a setting that doesn't exist" is a development argument for a specific implementation, but as a user, it's not relevant.
A user doesn't want to know if it's a dconf setting, a driver adjustment, a X config file change. They just would like a slider no matter what this does under the hood.

"We have a lot of higher priority tickets open, we can't afford to work on this" would make more sense, if that's actually the reason.

The problem is that this has to be fixed upstream first. Also Gnome has to wait for libinput to fix this.

Currently libinput is the library used for mouse input and the desktop environments only provide a GUI for changing its settings. The problem is that libinput currently does not support the changing of scroll speed. Thus I created an issue for scroll speed there, which you can support by voting it up: gitlab.freedesktop.org/libinput/libinput/issues/185

@clel How can KDE have this in their DE? I believe that you can put the multiplier in the setting to fix the issue.
