Bug Description

Who do I believe?

Memory in About is: 8.2GB
Memory in System Monitor: 7.8GiB

8192MB = 8.192GB
8192MB = 7.629GiB

While the math in "About - Switchboard" is technically correct, I dont really have 8.2GB of ram as 1GB of ram is 1024MB, meaning I really only have 8GB or ram.

The disk usage total seems to be different in many places around the ElementaryOS system, like in folder properties where it says 90GB of 224GB free, but in the About as in the screenshot it says 213GB on hard-drive. (I do not believe its related to bug #1161643)

* Does some research*

Total space available in my partition which excluding the swap space is 228GB, but the About displays RAM in GiB for some odd reason, meaning the total is smaller. The Hard-drive also appears to display in Gib too, but is incorrectly labelled as GB.

228GB = 213GiB

I used this calculator to get my findings, http://wintelguy.com/gb2gib.html

I think both should be labelled as GB and calculated correctly. (As a user would understand it)
