Bug Description

'st' conflicts with the same in suckless-tools

Options for rename so far are 'swiftly' and 'swiftcli'. I think Chuck Thier and I are for 'swiftly' and Jay Payne is for 'swiftcli'. Any more votes or suggestions?

We should get this done for the next release.

Also, man st brings up the man page for the C driver interface for SCSI, which definitely confused me the first time I looked for it :)

I vote for just "swift".

Most of swift binaries at */bin are swift prefixed (swift-*), with swauth exception (that is not swift itself, and it's going to be moved into a separate project).

So I think it would be consistent using swift-*, and may be using a word that let you guess its functionality.

I will go for swift-cli :)

+1 to Juan J. Martínez.

I'm strong believer in professionalism and standardisation in coding. Therefore as Juan says, seeing as the convention "swift-*" is being used elsewhere, it seems to me to be perfectly logical and common-sense to use something such as swift-cli.

Put the development efforts into coding, not coming up with funky names.... ;-)

Sorry to throw a wrench into the mix, but using the name of the project as the name of the CLI tool has LOTS of prior art (think: mysql, psql, ssh, syslog). It's a very common convention is to have server program be the name of the project plus the letter "d" and to use the name of the project as the CLI tool. So, I don't think my recommendation to name the CLI tool "swift" is that out of the ordinary...

Jay Pipes... based on what you said, I'll put "swift" down as my second choice.

But a definite -1 to swiftly as I can't see any reason apart from some people may think it sounds cool. ;-)

swiftcli is ok, I guess, but if you're going to do that, you might as well do it properly and stick a hyphen in the middle.

I'm cool with 'swift' as it is sort of the default way to access Swift. So I take my vote away from 'swiftly' and:

+1 swift
