Bug Description
By default the proxy will look for the auth server on 127.0.0.1, and for the default install with the multi node instruction that is fine. If the user installs the auth server on an alternate server, the proxy server needs to have the ip set for the auth server.

The install doc located at http:// swift.openstack .org/howto_ installmultinod e.html is missing the "ip" parameter from "auth" from this guide http:// swift.openstack .org/deployment _guide. html
Under configuring the Proxy Node, Step 5 Create /etc/swift/ proxy-server. conf: should include a parameter "ip = <AUTH_SERV_IP>" or something similar.
for more exact info.
