Breaking up grouped observations?

Bug Description

SVMT v0.1.0, 32bit Linux (Fedora Core 11)

I know that for performance and display reasons observations are, by default, grouped based on some constraints.
But this does prevent looking at the individual observations making up such a group, and sometimes one might want to do just that.

Would it be possible to be able to select some groups and then break them up ('ungroup')?

What do you want to do with the broken group? Just see the footprints or also select and interact with the sub-elements? I could imagine to have a toggle for showing the selected groups as "ungrouped". Would this fit the need?

Good question. I would like to see the footprints for sure, but interacting in the graphical display may be too cumbersome, with so many observations superimposed. I could imagine selecting one of the sub-elements from the list on the right. Could that then be made to highlight/glow the relevant sub-element in the graphical display?

Having a toggle as you describe sounds very good to me.
