Bug Description

Hello,

while pushing OpenSUSE towards python 3.7.0 I am going through Python packages and among other things I am trying to cut down our dependency on backporting packages (unittest2, collections2, etc.). While doing I have created the attached patch and all tests pass, but now I am worried whether that patch is correct. Doesn't I just change in effect API of the module and cover this change in tests? However, all my changes are limited just to code in the testsuite itself, so it shouldn't change nothing in the production part of the package, right?

What do you think?

That seems reasonable to me; can you propose it on GitHub, and maybe we can get lifeless to have a quick look at it as well?

Changed in subunit:
status: New → Triaged
importance: Undecided → Medium

Or is it completely useless, because apparently https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-subunit/blob/master/f/dead.package the Python package has been replaced by the large subunit package, wasn't it?

Please, ignore the previous comment, it is nonsense.
