Bug Description

I have been trying to write an autoinstall that works for weeks. Today I copied your example, and I get the error in /var/log/installer/subiquity-server-debug.log: Malformed autoinstall in 'top-level keys' section.

What section???

I have a case open and the file sent to me has the same error. How am I to find the malformed header??

Hi Mike, thanks for your report.

"Top-level keys" refers to the outer most keys, as listed in the documentation section of the same name[1]. I can agree it's a little vague, but there should be some more error messaging pointing to a more specific issue.

Could you share the contents of /var/log/installer, the example autoinstall you are trying to use, and how you are delivering the autoinstall configuration?
